Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a neat calendar app, runner combat game, virtual wallet app, and PDF manager. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
CalCube ($1.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: A calendar app that is all about simplicity allowing for quick entry of events because you set the duration, alert times, and other basic settings when you first set-up the app. Each time you enter a new event, you just need the title, and time, and the entry is there connected to any calendar you have already tied into your iOS device. Rather than a flat calendar you’re given a cube, and you can swipe to rotate it and bring up the section you want to look at.
Dark Lands ($2.99 -> Free, Universal): A runner game mixed with action combat giving you 40 levels in adventure mode, as well as an endless survival run. You will need to defeat fantasy enemies with a dynamic combat system allowing for attacks while on the run. There’s also an intriguing silhouette art style.
My Pocket ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A virtual wallet app that is designed to let you store personal information like credit cards, driver’s license, bank accounts, passport, and similar documents. Everything is secured by AES-256 encryption with your own password, to create a safe for your personal documents. You can attach scans to each document, and then easily send them when needed.
TinyPDF ($4.99 -> Free, Universal): A PDF manager that makes it easy to read, edit, and annotate PDFs on your iOS device. You can fill forms, highlight text, add notes, sign documents, search text, and draw freely on PDFs. There are also numerous reading, and sharing options.
