Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a fitness app, world clock, heart rate monitor, and diary/journal app . A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
CARROT Fit ($2.99 -> Free, iPhone): A fitness app that uses the Carrot personality style with a sadistic AI overtone that will threaten, inspire, ridicule, and bribe you to improve your fitness. The app includes a seven minute workout routine, and weight tracker alongside digital rewards for every step of the way.
Globo ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone): The app gives you a world clock in a beautifully designed package, so you can easily check out the times in various cities around the globe. What really makes the app shine is the heat map style interface that changes the color of each city based on the time of day from bright yellow in the morning to dark purple in the evening, with various shades in between.
Cardiograph ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A heart rate monitor that can accurately test your heart rate when you simply placeyour finger over the camera of your iOS device. The app offers up a neat interface that shows a digital Cardiograph complete with pulsating line. There’s also iCloud support, and multiple user profiles to keep track of the entire family’s results over time.
My Own Diary ($1.99 -> Free, iPhone): A diary/journal app that offers up a realistic design as though you’re writing in a bounded notebook with worn paper, on a desk. The app supports 11 different fonts, calendar, location, voice recording, dropbox back-up, multiple diaries, and more.
