Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a full featured text editor, voice manipulation tool, photo effects app, and health tracker. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
Cool Writer ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A full featured text editor app letting you simply type out anything you want. It can also act as a PDF viewer, Office file opener, and there are plenty of shortcut keyboards. You can type special characters, emojis, and your own special shortcuts.
Vio ($2.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: A powerful voice manipulation engine that can transform your voice into futuristic vocal styles. The app offers deluxe pitch correction technology to make your voice always in tune whether you’re singing, speaking, or simply humming. There are 12 different voice effects included, and each one provides a unique sound ranging from stylized echo to familiar auto-tune. The screen is filled with particle effects, and you can drag your finger to change the entire sound of the effect, and your resulting voice.
Collage Art ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): A similar app to PieceFoto that pieces your photos together allowing you to divide a photo into resizable squares. You can change the color tone, size, position, and filter effect of each piece separately, and also add text to the overall photo.
Plant Nanny ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone): A health app that shows you how much water you should drink in a day by presenting a virtual pet plant. You need to water the plant to keep it alive, while drinking some water yourself to stay hydrated. It’s a cute reminder of how much water your body needs during a day.
