Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a interactive re-telling of a classic story, photo merging utility, outline creator, and educational app. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
*Price drops are temporary, and usually last for just 24 hours, so be quick to download.
Little Dead Riding Hood ($2.99 -> Free, iPad): A new version of the classic story complete with detailed grim illustrations. The app is brimming with all kinds of interactive features, and animations. There’s also an interactive sketchbook, and surprises on almost every page. The new story is still the highlight though.
Juxt-a-pose ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone): The app lets you merge multiple photos together for a unique layering effect. You can set the transparency of each photo you add, and the app supports multi-layered photos. There are also 15 different effects to add to your merged photos.
Cloud Outliner ($4.99 -> Free, Universal): A deluxe outliner creator that makes it easy to set-up lists, adjust indentation level, and edit multiple rows at once. The highlight is syncing through iCloud so that your outlines appear across your iOS device, and Mac as well as Evernote syncing for other platforms.
Grandpa’s Worksjop ($1.99 -> Free, Universal): An educational app that offers seven different mini-games with positive feedback from a grandpa character. The app tests numbers, measurements, colors, vocabulary, and more in a set-up for kids ages 2-6. There are also videos of tools in action, spot the difference puzzles, and fractions.
