Crescent Moon Games has taken over Apps For Free Daily with four of their games on sale for free.
Mimpi ($1.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: The game is named after a cute little white dog, who is the star, and is sent to strange new lands. There are eight worlds to play through, and each one relies on a delicate mix of puzzles, and platforming. The game aligns more with a point and click adventure, than anything else, but the classic platforming elements are there as well. The heart of the game is really getting you to question the path forward, and force you to actually stop, and think about what to do.
Paper Monsters ($2.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: It just may be the best platformer in the App Store because it gets every element right. It takes the best gameplay mechanics from classic 2D platformers, and brings them to iOS. Then there are great 3D graphics with a cardboard/paper feel with so much personality packed into every detail. There are also 16 intricate levels across four unique worlds, and silky smooth controls. It is simply a classic for iOS with the traditional elements mixed with huge boss battles.
Strike Wing: Raptor Rising ($0.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: A 3D aerial combat set in space that provides detailed space ships to pilot past planets, around asteroid belts, and through the stars. The 3D graphics engine is a definite stand-out that is really highlighted by the space settings, and close-ups of the enemy ships. One of the main distinctions of the game is that there are adaptable missions across five unique game modes. The game is set-up to gauge the player’s skill level to provide an adequate challenge depending on how well the player does.
Neon Shadow ($1.99 -> Free, Universal) [Review]: A deluxe 3D first person shooter that offers an arcade feel with fast paced action. It’s inspired by classic first person shooters, like Bungee’s original Marathon, and enemies comes at you constantly at high speeds right in your face. There’s a significant single player campaign battling against mechanoids in an abandoned space station, as well as two player death match.
