Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a spreadsheet app, note taking app, side scrolling launching game, and children’s interactive app. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis*, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.

Permanent 1 ($9.99 -> Free, iPad): The app launched at $14.99 claiming to be the future of spreadsheet as it was made from the ground-up for iPad. It didn’t really pick up, but now you can pick it up for free. Permanent is all about touch to create and edit spreadsheets, write over 100 types of formulas, run scripts, and import/export Excel and CSV files. There’s a sequel with features, but the original still offers quality.
My Notepad ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone): A note taking app that supports a wide variety of notes whether it’s basic text, photos, checklists, hyperlink based, meetings, and more. The app offers a notebook style interface with page flips, color codes lists, and priority assignments.
Froggy Splash 2 ($0.99 -> Free, Universal): An endless side scrolling launcher, where you try to skip Froggy for as long as you can in the vein of Burrito Bison.The game offers a stone skipping on the water idea with various collectable stars used for 16 unique upgrades to help you launch froggy further each time.
Sago Mini Ocean Swimmer ($2.99 -> Free, Universal): An adventure built for kids that blends in a little interactive storybook and educational elements. The app begins by inviting Fins the fish out to play, and then joining it on an underwater exploration with over 30 animations to discover. The app is designed for toddlers, and allows the player to join the fish to discover various surprises.
