Motorola and Intel together are holding a special ‘Edge -to-Edge’ event next week on September 18 in London, UK. So, is everyone curious about what they are cooking? One thing is sure that Motorola is coming up with an Intel based smartphone. So we may see Motorola RAZR M with Intel inside on September 18. Now it has been confirmed that Intel has ported Google’s Android 4.1 OS, called “Jelly Bean,” to work on smartphones based on its low-power Medfield Chips.
So are we going to see a Motorola device with a taste of “Intel Inside” and Jelly Bean? Intel – sure , Jelly Bean – Maybe.
“I’m running it,” said Mike Bell, Intel’s vice president and general manager of the mobile computing group, during an interview at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco.
Intel’s “Medfield” Atom processors seem to be a good option, but we’ll see how they do in the future against the onslaught of great ARM chips out there. So whatever it is we’ll we will find out what they have up their sleeves soon enough.
This new device seems to be something to keep an eye out for, so get your tech blogs ready for the live action on September 18.
