Are you a dodo? No? Prove it in the new game Are You A Dodo? from the makers of Pixel People. It’s a mini-game collection with nine different trials to test your logic, dexterity, and memory in a race against the clock. There’s a fun loving set-up in a game that doesn’t take itself seriously, and is more of a joke arcade mini-game challenge. You get to play three mini-games in sequence across the three challenge categories as you attempt to maximize your score. you can pick specific games from the nine included, or let them be selected randomly.
Each mini-game is quite unique as you face identifying shadowed shapes, adding up dice, sorting objects, memorizing sequences, and more. None of the mini-games are particularly challenging taken alone, but they’re a lot harder with the time element thrown in. Each challenge starts off with 15 seconds, and that makes things a lot tougher with the impending doom. You can earn more time by consecutive correct answers, and also build up a multiplier to maximize your score. The game transforms everyday brain teasers into frantic challenges that truly test your ability to think under pressure as all of the easy set-up is out the window when you start to hurry.
No matter how you slice it, Are You A Dodo? is simply fun with an arcade set-up infused into relatively basic challenges. Not only are there the time constrains, and multipliers, but there’s also a charming art style, which infuses plenty of personality into the mini-games. The game is free to play, with each mini-game costing tokens to either buy, or earn, and there are also video ads between each set of three mini-games. You can fully enjoy the game for free, though it might not have much longevity on your device. Your total score is compared to various animals on the intelligence scale, and your total score over time has another scale of animals to shoot for. Once you have played each of the nine mini-games there’s an intrinsic incentive to do better, but there’s an overarching redundancy in the long term.
Are You A Dodo? (Free, Universal) is a fun loving mini-game collection that is worth picking up to test your thought processes under pressure.
