Today we’re excited to unveil a new collaboration with a selection of prominent photographers from each and every corner of the world, to mark the launch of our new “super mid-range” smartphone, Xperia M4 Aqua.
Around the world at sunrise on Tuesday 26th May 2015, our team of eight professional photographers used Xperia M4 Aqua to capture dawn in their country.
This unique project documents the stunning journey the sun takes around Earth each day, capturing individual experiences and perspective at the same time across different settings.
Featuring stunning landscapes across locations including Rome in Italy and Bali in Indonesia, the images showcase the sheer ease in which Xperia M4 Aqua makes powerful camera technology fun and accessible, regardless of how well a situation is lit.
Xperia M4 Aqua creatives included: Krzysztof Adamek (Poland), Maureen M. Evans (Mexico), Vera Golosova (Russia), Quinn Ryan Mattingly (Vietnam), Matt Oldfield (Indonesia), Miguel Pereira (Spain), Matt Scutt (UK) and Ben Thomas (Italy). You can check out some of their great shots below.
The collaboration also provides an extension to the Xperia Photo Academy – an online photography hub, with tutorial guides, for both professional and amateur photographers, using Sony Mobile’s Xperia smartphones.
UK photographer Matt Scutt has provided tips on how Xperia users can use Xperia M4 Aqua to the fullest in low-light situations.
Matt commented: “To capture a setting like sunrise, it is essential to have a quality camera that is able to shoot effectively with ease, even when there is a lack of light. Xperia M4 Aqua compliments this type of photography perfectly, and is on par with leading cameras in this respect.
“Its varying features and advanced capabilities also mean that you can take an image that is truly unique and beautiful, no matter your skill or experience.”
Xperia M4 Aqua offers many of the popular features as found in the Xperia Z Series, including advanced camera capability, long lasting two-day battery life and sleek, waterproof1 design – it started rolling out to 80 countries worldwide from Spring 2015.
