Asus is no stranger to stylish tablets, and the upcoming MeMO Pad 7 is no exception. Borrowing inspiration from clutch bags, the MeMO Pad 7 features a sleek, premium construction consisting of 50% duralumin and 34% fiberglass, which results in a weight of only 269g and a body that is only 8.3mm thick. The front of the device flaunts a 7-inch, 1080p IPS display. Hit the break for a video of the device being shown off from many angles.
Under the hood the MeMO Pad 7 is packing an Intel Z3560 quad-core processor clocked at 1.83Hz, 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory expandable via MicroSD. The tablet also features a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and SonicMaster-enhanced stereo speakers.
Finally, the Asus MeMO Pad 7 will run Android 4.4 skinned with Asus’ proprietary skin, ZenUI and will be available in Rose Champagne, Burgundy Red and Gentle Black. It is expected to be released later this year and will start at €200 (roughly $260). Let us know in the comments if you’ll be picking up this elegant, Intel-powered tablet.
