The ASUS ZenFone 2 devices were quite popular last year. The ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) was the first smartphone out in the market to sport 4GB of RAM, and the company has introduced a number of additional models throughout the year. That being said, the ZenFone 3 devices have been teased by the company for quite some time now, and ASUS has finally introduced their new ZenFone 3 lineup in Taiwan today. We’ve covered the announcement of those handsets already, and you can check out their specifications if you’d like as well. That being said, we’re here to talk more about the pricing structure of ASUS’ new models, read on.
Let’s start with the ZenFone 3, this is the company’s base model, and its pricing will start at $249, which seems to be quite affordable, despite the fact this is an upper mid-range smartphone. The ZenFone 3 sports a 5.5-inch fullHD display, 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. Interesting enough, ASUS’ press release only mentioned the 4GB RAM variant of this device, but it seems like the 3GB RAM model will be available as well. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor, and it also comes with the 16-megapixel rear-facing camera. This device is made out of metal and glass, while a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package. Next in line is the company’s all-new phablet, the ZenFone 3 Ultra. This 6.8-inch phablet comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, while it is fueled by the Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor. This device is priced at $479, and it also comes with a 4,600mAh battery which is not removable, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the company’s new flagship smartphone, and as such, it is the most expensive out of the bunch. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is priced at $499, which might mean this handset is more expensive than the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Ultra, but it’s also significantly more powerful than its siblings. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe ships with a 5.7-inch FullHD AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC, and comes with a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes out of the box with ASUS’ ZenUI 3.0 user interface. That is more or less it, we still don’t know when will these three devices going to be available, stay tuned.
