Asus is expected to launch three new models of the ZenFone 3 lineup at ‘Zenvolution’- its event at Humble House in Taipei. The company started sending invites for the event, which is scheduled today to begin at 11:30am IST, earlier this month.
The Asus ZenFone 3 will feature a 5.5-inch TFT display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Asus used 2.5D glass on the front and back cover. The metal device is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset carrying an octa-core 2GHz CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM is inside. The rear-facing camera weighs in at 16MP with an aperture of f/2.0, and includes OIS and laser auto-focus. The 8MP front camera is a bump up from last version.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe features a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with a Snapdragon 820 chipset. That includes a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside, and a 23MP rear camera adorns the back of the device (using a Sony module). The camera supports EIS and HDR.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Max has a "groundbreaking" 23MP rear camera, light-speed auto-focus, both electronic and optical image stabilization. The metal clad body is just 6.8mm thin. The device sports a 4600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, and a "multi-functional" fingerprint sensor is also present. The unit is driven by the Snapdragon 652 coupled with Adreno 510 GPU.
Well it’s not the first time that the specs for the ZenFone 3 have been leaked, as apparent leaks circulated as early as last month. It will be interesting to see what Asus has to unveil today at 11:30am IST.
