Hmmm, it does seem as though the Venue 8 Pro from Dell might come up face to face with some competition in the form of the ASUS VivoTab Note 8. The folks over at Mobile Geeks have come across some images as well as a full list of specifications for the upcoming ASUS VivoTab Note 8, although the images are not exactly high resolution, arriving with plenty of pixels along the way. Just what kind of hardware will the ASUS VivoTab Note 8 pack underneath the hood? Well, we are looking at entry level tablet device that runs on the Windows 8.1 operating system, where it will be accompanied by pen input support, an 8” 1,280 x 800 resolution IPS display, a 1.33GHz Bay Trail-based Atom processor, 2GB RAM and a choice of either 32GB or 64GB of expandable memory.
It remains to be seen whether ASUS will make use of similar parts from the MeMo Pad HD 7, where among them would include the 5-megapixel camera at the back, a front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera as well as a 3,950mAh battery. So far, the leaked image does point to the ASUS VivoTab Note 8 retailing for $299 a pop during the holidays, but do take that with a pinch of salt. Heck, it might even just roll out in 2014 for all you know.
