News – good, bad or made up by someone on a tabloid, there’s no doubting that news can change your mood from minute to minute and, on the rare occasion good news breaks through the wall of woe, transform even the worst week of your life into something almost survivable.
Take this little nugget of news for example – even if you were trapped down a well with a brace of broken legs, surrounded at the top by ravenous, well-educated wolves whittling some kind of ‘humaning’ rod out of wood with which to reel you up to your ruin, the following fact would still bring a smile to your face… even if only briefly: Atari has announced a new upcoming line-up of apps for Android covering some of its most memorable games such as RollerCoaster Tycoon and Dungeons & Dragons: Warbands!
Set to start appearing over the next few months, speaking on the forthcoming releases, Jim Wilson, CEO of Atari, said: “We’ve spent this year focused on developing mobile games based on some of Atari’s most iconic and enduring franchises. Our upcoming line-up should make clear Atari’s strategy to work with the strengths of our key franchises and offer our expanding global audience of mobile gamers a collection of accessible and fun consumer experiences.”
Frankly, we can’t wait to get our sticky mitts of these absolute gems of the gaming genre, so with Dungeons & Dragons coming ‘soon’ watch this space for updates and full-on, youth-reliving reviews; if you manage to outwit those wolves, of course…
