The made-for-AT&T version of the HTC One X is now available to purchase. You can do so at the carrier itself, in which case you’ll have to shell out $199.99 and sign a new two-year contract for the privilege. Or you can get a One X for $549.99 sans contract.
Or, if you want to save $50, you can go to Amazon and buy the One X for AT&T from there. You’ll only be paying $149.99 in this case, if you opt to go with the two-year contract of course. The off-contract pricing is the same at Amazon as it is at AT&T.
Despite the fact that AT&T’s One X comes with ‘just’ a dual-core processor and not the quad-core unit found in its internationally-selling sibling, it’s not in any way an underpowered machine. In fact, the One X is one of the highest-end smartphones that we’ve heard of so far.
It has a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, a 4.7-inch 1280×720 HD touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with 1080p HD video recording, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera with 720p HD video recording, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage space, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE, GPS, NFC, and a 1,800 mAh battery.
