A new leak suggests that the HTC One X will launch May 6 on AT&T
AT&T's 4G LTE HTC One X will reportedly launch on May 6, according to a story by Android enthusiast blog Android Central. The smartphone, HTC's 2012 flagship, will likely be the first Android 4.0 4G LTE handset to launch on AT&T's ever-expanding LTE network.
News of the possible May 6 release date comes by way of Best Buy, which has been taking pre-orders for the smartphone since February. Apparently, Best Buy sent a customer who pre-ordered a One X an email in which it said that the One X would arrive on May 6. Whether or not this is exact launch date is impossible to tell, but it is definitely probable.
Hardware-wise, AT&T's One X packs a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a 4.7-inch HD display, and runs Android 4.0 ICS with Sense 4.0 on top. The device also has an 8-megapixel shooter capable of capturing 1080p HD video.
AT&T's is currently making progress in rolling out the new standard in high-speed mobile data throughout its nationwide spectrum. A more expansive roll out is planned through 2012 and the One X is really just the beginning in terms of Android 4.0 4G LTE devices.
For Android 4.0 fan boys on AT&T, the HTC One X is one phone to definitely keep your eye on. Android 4.0 and Sense 4.0 really sounds mighty good.
