HTC’s One Mini is not the only mini-smartphone that’s coming soon to AT&T. The second largest US carrier is also readying the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S III Mini (yes, the S III Mini that’s been available in some markets since November 2012).
An AT&T-bound S III Mini has been unveiled a few hours ago by EVleaks. The date that’s visible on the S III’s display is August 23. That’s also the date when AT&T will start selling the HTC One Mini and the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 – so maybe the S III Mini will be released then, too. I don’t think AT&T has reasons to offer the S III Mini for more than $0 on contract – but we’ll see what happens.
The Galaxy S III Mini is not a smartphone that will get too many people excited, featuring a 4 inch WVGA display, HSDPA, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, dual-core 1GHz NovaThor U8420 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB / 16GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support. It currently runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The newer, better, bigger Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is also expected to be available at AT&T. We don’t know when, but we will let you know as soon as details on this arrive.
