AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will be properly available only starting June 21, but it might arrive at your doorstep today if you’ve already pre-ordered it.
The handset’s official webpage clearly reads “Your Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active will be shipped on June 19, 2013.” Still, this is no guarantee that you’ll get it today in case your pre-order was made, for example, yesterday.
The Galaxy S4 Active can be ordered at AT&T for $199.99 (on contract) in either “Urban Grey”, or “Dive Blue.” The latter color version has been spotted in some hands-on photos on Weibo (login required), so you can see it below:
Running the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the Galaxy S4 Active is Samsung’s (and AT&T’s) first high-end waterproof smartphone. Its features aren’t too different from those found on the regular Galaxy S4, including: a 5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, LTE connectivity, NFC, quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable memory, 2MP front-facing camera, and an 8MP rear camera.
June 21 is also the day when AT&T will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. This will cost $399 on contract, offering Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, an 8 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, S Pen Stylus, LTE, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a 4,600 mAh battery.
