Barnes and Noble has issued a new firmware update for its first large screen, high resolution tablet, the Nook HD+. The main selling points include crisper fonts while reading ebooks. Users will also be able to maintain their main status bar while reading books. Readers will love the new feature that shows how many pages are remaining in the book—a feature borrowed from the Nook Simple Touch—by showing real page numbers. Finally, the PDF experience has been enhanced and many people are claiming that the files load much faster than before in portrait mode.
