Barnes & Noble will begin selling its new Samsung-built Nook tomorrow in its chain of retail stores immediately after the device is unveiled at a press event, the DigitalReader reports.
News of Barnes & Noble’s partnership with Samsung first emerged back in June, with Samsung giving the bookseller its first new tablet refresh in nearly two years. The new Nook will essentially be a version of the Galaxy Tab 4 that runs the Nook Operating system. It’ll also, of course, carry the Nook branding.
Another big difference, according to DigitalReader’s sources, is that the Nook Galaxy Tab 4 will be priced at just $179. That’s a bit cheaper than the regular Galaxy Tab 4s that sell for $200.
Of course, we won’t be able to confirm this until tomorrow’s Nook reader event. Check back on VentureBeat tomorrow for complete coverage of Barnes & Noble’s announcement.
