Sony PS3 owners who are also sports buffs, heads up! Word has it that the BBC Sports app has finally made its way to the console, where it will sit pretty on your XMB. Just what does the BBC Sports app do? For starters, it is capable of providing you with the highlights of key sporting events, which is definitely something worth looking forward to with the Olympics happening this summer, not to mention the Euros. It is said that the London 2012 Olympics alone will see the BBC Sports app roll out 2,500 hours of content, delivering up to two dozen simultaneous events in glorious, epe-popping HD resolution – and this is accessible using the X button. Apart from catching up on the sporting highlights available such as the Wimbledon and Formula One races, you can also opt for different camera angles just to suit your taste (in case you think that the broadcaster needs a lesson in camera placement). Best of all is, the BBC Sports app will be free, and it will arrive on the PS3 this summer.
