Loom Bands are the latest craze sweeping through schools around the world. For those of you who've yet to come across them, Loom Bands are small, coloured rubber bands that can be used to create bracelets, charms and more with help from a plastic Rainbow Loom frame.
Even Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing a bracelet made from Loom Bands, as well as David Beckham and Harry Styles.
If you want to learn how to make Loom Band jewellery and charms, these apps for iOS and Android are a good way to get started. Here, we round up the best apps for loom band lovers.
1. Loomin' app
Loomin' is a great app for all Loom Band lovers, from beginner right through to expert. There are more than 100 videos to watch, to show you how to create everything from a basic ring or single chain bracelet to a flower burst bracelet or a ladybug charm.
It will cost you £1.49 to download it, but that means there are no irritating ads to deal with.
The design of this app is pretty terrible, but there's no doubt that it can come in handy if you're learning how to make Loom Band jewellery. It offers tips and videos, and a chance to see what others have made using the bands. Most of the videos are simply links to YouTube, but they've been curated and collected into one handy app, and it's free, so there's nothing to lose.
If you haven't got any Loom Bands with you or you want to practice a design before you make the real thing, Rainbow Loom Designer is worth a try. It offers 8 different bands in 46 colours, and will result in a 3D bracelet. It doesn't take into consideration whether your design would actually stay together when turned into a bracelet, and there are no tutorials, so you'll need to have some idea of how they work in order to use it properly. It's quite fun, though, and the app has been nicely designed.
The final app in our roundup is actually a social network for Loom Band lovers. You can take photos of your Looms and share them with others with this free app. You'll get inspiration from other creators, too. It's free, though there are some in-app purchases if you want to remove the ads or promote your posts.
