Strava Running and Cycling - GPS Run and Ride Tracker: 8.9/10
Runners and cyclists are massive fans of Strava, and it’s clear to see why.
Whether you're competing with yourself for a new personal best, or vying against strangers who are quicker than you, Strava brings the competition home.
GPS and mapping are super accurate, and Strava easily records your running and cycling data, comparing you with others hassle free. This community of other users is one of the app’s strongest assets, and a great motivator for competitive types.
KODA is a unique and challenging puzzle game, with a simple yet engaging gameplay. With 76 stimulating levels to work through, there’s plenty to get your teeth into. It may seem simple to learn, but mastering KODA is another story!
The object of the game: you must swipe the screen to slide tiles in the same direction, until they hit the wall or another tile.
Two matching tiles which collide are destroyed: in order to win, you must destroy all of the tiles before you run out of turns. As you progress, the grid size gets bigger and thus, harder.
With a clean and intuitive interface, KODA is an incredibly well designed, novel app.
Lingualy - your new year's resolution to learn a language: 8.7/10
Like it or not, the most effective way to learn a language is by writing down what you've just learnt and going back over it. Otherwise, you end up down that one-way street: you read a word that you checked in the dictionary a hundred times and still don't remember the meaning.
Lingualy lays out a system to avoid that happening. You can type any word you may find on your daily reading into the dictionary/translator to get to know the meaning/translation. However, and unlike other apps, it doesn't end up there. That words you searched are kept in the app history and then used to enrich the other sections.
With a simple and user-friendly interface, it's an innovative and highly effective app to learn new vocabulary and upgrade your language skills.
