With the AppleiPad mini 4 going on two months old now, we thought we would revisit a common accessory for most tablet owners, a stand. We will lump in mounts and stands here today, just to make it easy to find.
While there are few iPad mini 4 specific stands out there, many of your generic tablet stands and iPad Mini 2 or iPad Mini 3 stands will work fairly well. While the same can be said for generic tablet mounts, we were unable to find any stand-out specific form-fitting iPad mini 4 mounts at this time. As the iPad mini 4 has just slightly different dimensions than the previous iPad mini tablets, previous mounts may work, but please test them carefully before trusting them with your new device.
Fair warning, we had some fun with this list – seeing no point promoting multiple stands or mounts of similar design, we have majorly different options for you today.
That’s enough of all that, let’s look at the best iPad mini 4 stands and mounts.
Anker aluminum stand
We’ve seen this stand in our lists before, there is a reason for that, the Anker aluminum stand is one of our favorite stands. It is simple, light weight, highly adjustable and folds small enough to travel. At only $8 for the silver version, there are few stands that offer a better value, especially stands that support phones and tablet alike.
Another fan favorite, this Arkon stand has seen many similar alternatives hit the market, but we remember it from back in the day when it was one of a kind. Once again we have a light weight, highly adjustable easily packed up stand that supports phones and tablets alike.
At first glance, the CTA kitchen mount looks like a highly specialized, thus, single purpose mount. Don’t let the name mislead you, this mount comes with two bases and is able to act as a desk stand as well. Mount one base to your kitchen cabinet or wall, mount another elsewhere in your home, then use the built-in stand on your desk or coffee tablet.
Reminiscent of an artist’s easel, the IBRA stand folds into a tiny package for travel, is light weight and fairly adjustable for multiple devices and positions. With rubber in all the right places, this stand is a little more complicated than some of the other offers here today, but a solid stand with a good amount of versatility for your needs.
Looking for a unique and awkwardly-fun stand that offers many other uses? Check out the PopSocket. This adhering device acts as holder, headphone wrap, stand and stress ball, all in one. I am rolling my eyes back at the idea of relieving stress by fiddling with a tablet stand, but there are those that swear by it.
OK, the PopSocket firmly attaches to your iPad mini 4 as a slim disk. Simply pull it out to experience the satisfying pop that extends it far enough to act as a stand or hand hold and more. The reusable adhesive means you can re-adjust or re-purpose the PopSocket on other device or for other applications altogether.
