BLU is a rather small smartphone manufacturer, coming out of Florida, who is pretty well known for putting out some rather inexpensive unlocked smartphones. Recently, they put out the BLU Vivo 5R, which turned out to be a pretty fantastic smartphone for the price. Now they are announcing the BLU Life One X2, which is the successor to last year’s Life One X. This device is a bit cheaper, coming in at $149, and what’s interesting here is that it’s one of the few BLU smartphones to sport a Qualcomm processor.
Inside the Life One X2, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. This is the latest in the Snapdragon 400-series and actually supports Quick Charge 3.0. So that 3,000mAh battery that is included in the Life One X2 can be charged pretty quickly, likely in just over an hour. Other specs include a 5.2-inch 1080p resolution display that sports 423 pixels per inch. There’s also 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage (that’s the entry model at $149) or 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage (this one will cost you $199). Optics include a 16-megapixel sensor on the back with phase detection auto-focus and a 8-megapixel sensor on the front of the device. And it’s running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
All in all, the BLU Life One X2 definitely looks to be a pretty fantastic device. It’s here to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy J5, and the Lenovo Moto G4 Play, and it competes rather well with both of these smartphones. It’s also worth noting here that the BLU Life One X2 does indeed support 4G LTE on both AT&T and T-Mobile. Unfortunately there is no support for it on Verizon and Sprint. So those of you on CDMA networks like Sprint and Verizon, you’ll need to look elsewhere for a smartphone.
