Boxer, the popular gesture-based email app developed by Taskbox, has just received another significant update, which introduces a number of new features and improvements.
The latest update to Boxer is highlighted by a trio of new major features. First off, there’s support for HTML signatures, allowing you to spruce up your email signature with rich text formatting including boldface and italics.
There’s also the ability to create new folders and labels right within the app. And then there’s the much-requested support for push notifications for Outlook.com. Note that Boxer also supports Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, and IMAP accounts.
The new version of Boxer also lets you mark all of your archived messages as read and permanently delete your emails in the trash folder.
The new Boxer update also includes badge count tweaks (now updates while the app is in use) and the following improvements:
Your flagged emails in exchange will now sync correctly
Moving messages to folders will now happen significantly faster
Fixed issues with the keyboard when entering your passcode
Eliminated occasional blank notes when sending to Evernote
Fixed a number of crashes
Added support for more IMAP servers
Newly created Outlook.com accounts now use IMAP/OAuth
Message cell now shows Recipient for Sent Emails
Improved Compose Email animations and contact behavior
