Solidifying a leak from last October, publisher Majesco confirmed that it has teamed up with Abstraction Games to remaster A Boy and his Blob for HD audiences. The game will run in 1080p at 60fps, and it will be available for the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 18.
Originally rebooted by none other than WayForward Technologies, A Boy and his Blob is pretty well regarded among the five or so people who have played it. This 2D platformer was released on the original Wii long after the mainstream public had lost interest in it, and those with an untrained eye dismissed it as Wii shovelware.
However, gamers who recognized the developer and the brand name found a charming puzzle platformer inside that should have enjoyed much larger success. And now, that wrong can be righted with this better opportunity for others to discover it.
Now rendered at 1080p and 60 frames per second, players can experience the adventure of the boy and his blob as they travel through 40 levels from Earth to Blobolonia. With over 15 transformations, hidden collectibles and 40 additional challenge levels, A Boy and His Blob is packed with replay value.
Be sure to check out A Boy and his Blob on Jan. 18 for the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and PC.
