Want to know what you’ll be playing when you open your new Wii U? Here’s the list of launch-day titles, courtesy of Nintendo.
Nintendo is leading the charge with New Super Mario Bros. U and NintendoLand (above), but will also release Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and the karaoke game Sing Party on Nov. 18, when it launches Wii U. Publishers Activision and Ubisoft have also committed substantial day-one support with games like Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Assassin’s Creed III.
Wii U is Nintendo’s first high-definition gaming console, featuring a touchscreen built into the controller. Nintendo will launch it at a base price of $300, with a Deluxe Set that includes extra on-board storage space and a copy of NintendoLand on shelves for $350.
Besides the 23 games coming on day one, Nintendo said that an additional 29 will be released through the end of March 2013 in what it calls its “launch window.” It said that nine of those games, mostly download-only titles like Trine 2, will arrive later in November.
