The UK’s decision to exit the European Union, better known as “Brexit,” is affecting the price of the OnePlus 3. The Brexit has decreased the value of British pound sterling which, in turn, has increased the price of the OnePlus 3 for customers who want to buy it in the UK.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to OnePlus 3 fans, or anyone following Brexit for that matter. The company warned its customers last week that the decreasing value of the pound sterling against the US dollar would likely force the company to change its prices.
“Given the effects of the unstable markets on our extremely thin margins, we’re reluctantly going to have make some small changes to our pricing structure for the device,” OnePlus explained. As of July 11, the OnePlus 3 will cost £329 in the UK, up from the original price of £309. The good news is that you still have a chance to buy it at the original price, which is awfully kind of OnePlus. Accessory prices will remain unchanged.
