Brikk is known in the US and worldwide for customising and adding bling to gadgets (especially iPhones) taking them from gleaming pieces of metal to hand-polished works of art. This time around though they have clearly outdone themselves. The company has announced that it will deliver to you their version of the Lux iPhone 6, just 3 weeks after launch; and obviously the handset plated with precious metals does not come cheap.
The Lux iPhone 6 can be plated in 24-carat gold or platinum for a price tag of $4495 (approx. Rs. 2,70,329). If that is not enough to suit your pangs for exclusivity, you can take your iPhone’s customisation up a notch and add an Apple logo encrusted in diamonds for $8395 approx. Rs. 5,04,875) instead.
All you have to do is pay the $500 deposit and the company will secure an iPhone 6 for you when the handset launches in September. The handset of course will also be the top of the line model of the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 with 128 GB of memory.
Each Lux iPhone 6 is disassembled inside Brikk’s state-of-the-art laboratory in Los Angeles, USA by a team of highly skilled engineers. They are then hand polished and plated with five layers of diverse metals before their final plating in either two layers of gold or platinum as per customer requests.
