The Moto X is finally available from Phones 4U, giving those in the United Kingdom the chance to purchase Motorola’s flagship handset for the first time. Prices start at £379.95 ($631) on pay-as-you-go, but you can get the handset for free on two-year contracts from £25 ($42) per month.
Phones 4U is the first British retailer to offer the Moto X, and it also has exclusivity on the white model for the first three months. But you should be able to pick it up from Carphone Warehouse and directly from carriers beginning Saturday, February 1.
Unfortunately, those of us in the U.K. don’t get the customization options that U.S. buyers have enjoyed with the Moto X, so it’s available in black and white only. Elsewhere, the handset is exactly the same — packing a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, and a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera.
The Moto X ships with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed, with all the software tweaks it has become famous for, such as Touchless Control, Active Display, and Quick Capture. If you order from Phones 4U today, your handset should be at your door tomorrow.
