In an eggshell: a long, long time ago a chap called Jesus was born, he grew up, ran with a gang, caught the negative attention of the authorities and ended up coming a nailed up cropper on a hillock back in Bible-time. As a consequence, today we have Easter and, moreover, Bubble Blast Easter Edition!
Okay, so it’s not a massive departure from the usual flavour Bubble Blast, but in celebration of the death and subsequent resurrection of the Son of God now you need to burst multi-coloured Easter eggs or a bunny (which seems a little sick) to win. There are two modes, Puzzle and Arcade, available, the former requiring you to use a bit of nous to workout burst trajectories to demolish all and sundry with one deft move and the latter being a free-play version that lets you burst to your heart’s content but which, cunningly, won’t unlock until after you’ve reached level 20 in Puzzle mode.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Gloriously simple in both design and operation, Bubble Blast Easter Edition is nevertheless incredibly addictive and some of the levels in Puzzle mode can lead to genuine frustration. As Bank Holidays are traditionally damp affairs in the UK, and we’ve probably all seen Ben-Hur quite enough times already now, with 2500 levels available, this is an egg-celent way to wile away a wet Easter Monday afternoon.
