Imagine, if you will, the ability to schedule updates on Twitter in the same way you schedule posts on your blog… Well, Buffer is a service that allows you to do just that and one that’s garnered its fair share of critical acclaim already, having surpassed the one million ‘buffered’ tweet mark some time ago this year.
In time-honoured tradition, Android users are now able to take advantage of its time-shifting, Tweet scheduling charms while on the move, thanks to the newly launched Buffer Android app which can be grabbed direct from Android Market for precisely zero outlay.
And in a move that’s becoming increasingly common, the Android version arrives in advance of the iPhone version which is apparently next in the Buffer team’s pipeline.
Facebook is also due to get the Buffer treatment, apparently, with a similar service that will allow Facebook-ites top schedule their updates in groups rather than having to upload them in real-time. Rumour has it that Google+ and LinkedIn are also being eyed for a ‘Buffering’.
