SaskTel, on the other hand, is a different story. Also today, SaskTel officially announced that it too will be selling the Galaxy S II in Canada. Unlike Bell, it has (thankfully) decided not to slap the ’4G’ suffix onto the phone’s name. And it’s also decided to let us in on a bit of pricing info.
While SaskTel won’t give a clear release date ether (it’s the same “in the coming weeks” wording that we saw Bell use), it does mention that the phone will be available for $79.99 with a new three-year contract. So if SaskTel is your carrier of choice (or you don’t mind it becoming that), you now know where it stands on Galaxy S II pricing and can start saving up to get one. Unfortunately, SaskTel hasn’t said anything about prices for other contract terms or for people who’d rather buy the phone without any contract whatsoever.
But that information, like in Bell’s case, is sure to become available “in the coming weeks”. And we’ll let you know once we find out.
