Apple's next iPhone, widely referred to as the iPhone 5, is expected to launch this month on September 12. Naturally, over the past few months, there's been a steady stream of rumors and leaks showing bits and pieces of the design.
A video posted yesterday by GSM Israel claimed to show off the iPhone 5. It was showing a device found at the trade show booth of one of the world's largest accessory makers.
Turns out, the iPhone 5 in question is a fake. A smart YouTube commenter pointed out that it uses the iPhone 3GS model code number, the wrong typography and other telltale signs.
Chinese accessory manufactures often comb through those leaks and put together prototypes so they can have their add-on products ready on launch day.
