CanvasWorld.com has launched a publicly-judged photo contest with a twist; all photo entries must be taken with an iPhone 4S. With the release of the iPhone 4S, the cameraphone has evolved to a point where many people use it as a full time point-and-shoot camera, and this contest reflects that shift.
When not running a contest for one of the most popular point-and-shoot cameras, CanvasWorld.com is known for providing a selection of canvas photo printing options, which let you turn a photo into a stunning work of art. Pictures taken with the 4S’ 8 megapixel camera have both a high enough pixel count and sufficient quality to make excellent large-format prints like CanvasWorld’s gallery-wrapped canvases (8 MP is usually good for a print up to 16″ x 20″, but the irregular surface of the canvas hides most small visual artifacts, allowing you to bump the picture size up even further).
Contest is open from February 21 to March 18, 2012
All photos must be taken with an iPhone 4S
All submitted photos must be an original work by the photographer
Information required with photo submission includes the photographer’s first name, email, and an optional photo title
Entries are judged by public vote—the photo with the most votes wins
The winner will be notified via email by March 31, 2012
The winner gets a $100 cash prize, as well as a 16″ x 20″ canvas print of their winning image ($92 value). Entries may be submitted at the contest site before the end date of March 18.
