In 1996, Candace Bushnell burst upon the literary (and glitterati) scene with Sex and the City, the book that stripped the beds of Manhattan's rich and famous and inspired the iconic HBO series. She didn't stop there, continuing to publish more wickedly funny semi-satires including One Fifth Avenue, Trading Up, and 2015's Killing Monica.
This is a wonderfully engineered first thriller by former UK policewoman Claire Mackintosh. The big twist in the middle is like a cue ball scattering even more twists that will leave you immediately wanting another book from this author.
