Hex doesn’t simply release new bags and sleeves, they release new lines of bags and sleeves. Such is the case with their Fleet Collection, a 12-piece laptop and tablet accessory line making its debut at CES 2012. Each Fleet bag features charcoal and white pinstripe canvas fabrication, custom-printed lining and contrasting tan genuine leather zipper pulls and leatherette trim detailing.
The Fleet Collection includes the Tote for 15” MacBook Pro ($79.95) and the Cross-Body for iPad and 11” MacBook Air ($59.95). Each bag pairs fashion with thoughtful tech-related features such as compartment padding to protect devices from bumps and bangs and pockets sized to snugly fit the most commonly carried devices. The Cross-Body also incorporates HEX’s PadPort (patent pending) to allow easy iPad 1 and 2 access while on the go. MacBook Air 11” and 13” sleeves ($39.95) round out the new silhouettes.
Other styles in the Fleet Collection include:
Laptop Bag ($79.95)
13” Messenger Bag for iPad ($79.95)
Sonic Backpack ($99.95)
Source backpack ($59.95)
15” Messenger Bag for iPad ($79.95).
In addition to the HEX PadPort and other features, each bag has surplus grade web carrying handles, pocket organizers and water resistant coating.
The inclusion of tech-specific features in the Fleet Collection reflects HEX’s ongoing thoughtful accessory design, which earned it a coveted CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree designation for the Varsity Messenger Bag for iPad. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 32 product categories.
