LAS VEGAS, USA – Huawei has contributed a mobile device with a 6″ screen to the phablet war – the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 comprises of a 6.1-inch HD IPS display, a quad-core processor and 4G wireless support for almost every wireless standard. The phone will not launch officially in US, but will be compatible with almost all carriers. Its camera is pretty impressive as it offers a 13MP rear and a 5MP front-facing camera. Moreover some software-based enhancements include a special preview window and a beauty enhancement slider.
The prime feature that Huawei brought to the Ascend Mate 2 is that it offers a powerful battery driving force with 4050mAh of capacity. With one single charge, the smartphone can hold its breath for 60 hours of normal usage.
The smartphone brings a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD memory card support, GPS and GLONASS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a range of sensors, and Android Jelly Bean. It weighs a total of 202g, which is massive, but may not be significant given the weight distribution across its large surface area.
There is no current information on pricing or availability of the Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G.
