A lot of cool little nuggets about how the iPhone was developed came out of the courtroom today, but this one from Forstall really stuck out.
As All Things D reports, Steve Jobs told Forstall in 2004 to assemble a team to design software for the iPhone without making an outside hire. What a challenge.
Forstall said he had to scour Apple for superstars to join his team. But he couldn't even tell candidates what they'd be working on. He could only say it was something big that would take a lot of extra work and take years to finish.
Incredibly, Forstall was able to assemble his team.
