It’s frustrating when you are using your phone and there is an abrupt internet connection or difficulty downloading an app. This can be quite annoying but there are several ways to avoid some of these issues. There is no need to go to a professional for these common iPhone problems: Get proactive and fix them at no charge. The most common issues will be discussed below.
iPhone won’t connect to Wi-Fi
Many users complained their iOS device cannot connect to Wi-Fi. This is a common problem among iPhone users, but it’s a minor issue that requires simple solutions. The first step to resolve this is to turn off your Wi-Fi and then turn it back on. There is an option that allow you to click on the Wi-Fi icon and disabled it. Then you can click on it to turn it on. If Bluetooth is enabled, turn it off. You may also forget the network and add it again; reentering the password and connect. If you still have difficulties with connecting to the internet then restart your iOS device, your modem, and router. Most of the time, the steps below will resolve the problem, but if the issue persists, then you may reset your network settings.
In this situation, you should perform a force restart. To do that, press and hold the sleep/wake button and the power button at the same time (for at least 10 seconds). Release the buttons when the Apple logo appears. Performing a hard reset will not affect your data. Sometimes, when the iPhone freezes, its screen may turn black. Usually, the cause of this problem is a software crash and it can be easily fixed with a force restart. If this is not working, or your iOS device keeps freezing, connect it to your computer and launch iTunes. See if the software update is available. If it is, download and install it. You can also reset your iOS device to factory defaults using iTunes. If your iPhone freezes, turns off and won’t turn on, you can try the same solutions.
In this situation, it is recommended that you use recovery mode to restore your device. Connect your device to a computer and conduct a forced restart. Press and hold the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time, until the Recovery mode appears. Next, you will see an option to update. Select it. After the update is completed, you can set up your device. Sometimes, the update option is not listed and you will have to select restore. The iTunes will erase your iOS device and it will install the latest software version.
Your iPhone is like a computer. When you work on projects on your computer, you should save it externally on hard drives. You should back up your data regularly in order to prevent data loss. This can be done through iTunes or iCloud. If your phone crashes and you lose your data, you can retrieve them from iCloud. The iCloud also allows you to back up important documents on your computer in a readable format, including photos, music, movies, apps, messages and contacts. After you do this you can save it externally and reduce data loss.
This can happen often when we use a device all the time. The best thing to do is allow the phone to cool and reduce heavy usage. If you have a case on your iPhone, remove it. Most of the time, overheating and battery drain go together. Check the battery usage, and see if one of the apps is consuming too much power. Update that application, or remove it completely. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS. You can also reset your iPhone settings. Another option is to restore your iOS device to factory defaults using iTunes. To avoid overheating issues, don’t use your device when it’s charging.
This is a condition that many heavy iPhone users complain about. If you are using your device for hours, to play games or watch videos on YouTube, the phone will use more battery and cannot last long under these conditions. The obvious solution for battery drain issues, is to reduce the pressure placed on iPhone. You can turn off apps that you are not using. If you notice that a specific application is causing battery drainage then you will have to do something about the application. Start with the update of the app.
Battery draining issue is another reason why your iPhone keeps restarting. If you are no longer using the app, you can delete it. Disable Wi-Fi, mobile data, Bluetooth and GPS when not in use. The phone can be very addictive but try to turn off your phone at least one a week. This seem impossible but you can do this when you are busy, for example, if you are at work and you won’t be using your phone you can turn it off.
iPhone won’t charge
If your iPhone won’t charge, most times the cable is the problem. Make sure the cable is not damaged. If you experience this problem try charging your phone at a different outlet. For example if you are using a wall charger, try inserting the USB cables in a computer and see if it works. Try another USB port. If you are charging your iOS device using the computer, restart it. Once you do this, USB ports will restart as well. Clean the charging port on your iOS device. Make sure you remove all dust, dirt and debris. Try another USB cable and another charger. Conduct a force restart. If nothing seems to work, connect your device to a computer, launch iTunes and restore your iPhone or iPad to factory settings. Backup your files first.
Touch screen problems
iPhone Touch screen issues are widespread among smartphone users. If your iPhone screen won’t work or the touch screen is unresponsive, then they are a few things you can do :
Clean the iPhone screen with a microfiber cloth. Don’t use towels: Try to use something soft.
Remove any screen protector that’s present. Most time it can cause issues with your iPhone screen.
There are some other issues that may be bothering Apple users but these are the most common ones that require little professional assistance. With just a little effort, you can fix them all in no time.
