Customers of the #HTC #OneM8 smartphone are now receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the U.S., a new revelation suggests. The One M8 was always slated to get the Android 6.0 update with a report from yesterday suggesting that it was on the cards.
HTC was one of the first (non-Nexus) manufacturers to release an Android 6.0 powered device in the form of the One A9. At about the same time, the Taiwanese manufacturer also mentioned that its existing lot of devices will be getting the update very soon.
Taking that into consideration, it’s good to see that the company is wasting no time in rolling it out to the 2014 flagship. The update is said to be a hefty 1.03GB, so make sure you’re on an unlimited WiFi network before downloading the update.
The Marshmallow update for the One M9 should be on its way as well, so don’t be disheartened with the news that the One M8 is getting the update first. As for the changelog, we should expect a UI similar to the One A9, so you will be in for a bundle of new changes.
