We cannot imagine all that many people being disappointed with the fact that the Nexus 7 tablet has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, however those looking to play can now install something else. That something else is an unofficial build of CyanogenMod 10 (CM10). By unofficial, the release of CM10 for the Nexus 7 is coming by way of an independent developer and not directly from the Cynaogen team. That bit aside though, winner00 has released his build of CM10 for the tablet. Though, just to make this clear, this release is noted as being an alpha build and that there may be some bugs. That being said, those willing to give this a shot can follow the xda-developers link at the bottom of this post to grab the ROM. And as a warning, if you are not comfortable in rooting and installing alternate ROMs on an Android device — you should probably sit this round out. Well, that or make sure you back things up and take the necessary steps before you begin, you know, just in case something goes wrong during the process.
