Good news for those who simply can’t get enough of blood suckers – available exclusively on Android for two weeks only comes Dark Legends from big mobile MMOs developer Spacetime Studios…
Between angsty teen vampires in Twilight, angsty teen vampires in True Blood, angsty teen vampires in the Vampire Diaries and angsty teen counting vampires on Sesame Street, you might be thinking you’ve had enough of neck parasites, but Dark Legends, despite being an MMO game, offers something a bit more - you know? - grown up.
Set in a reality where humans co-exist with vampires, you assume the role of a pointy toothed Goth-alike, selecting the sex and look of your life-leeching avatar, and then do battle against countless tooled-up ne’re-do-wells, surprisingly sprightly zombies, werewolves and a whole host of other won’t-stay-dead ‘things’ too nasty to name.
You also get to do alll this using a range of weapons with names like ‘Manticores of Bashing’, ‘Mortalsnips of Protection’ and even ‘Ebon Maces of Vitality’, and who could resist all that?
But if the fortnight exlcusive idea strikes you as sounding like little more than just a bit of a gimmick, developers Spacetime Studios have promised that the Android version of Dark Legends will deliver the exact same gaming experience you’d expect if you played it on your PC or Mac, a plasma-drenched promise we’ll be sure to put to the test with a full review soon.
Said Gary Gattis, CEO of Spacetime Studios, of the exclusive Android launch: “Google Play and the Chrome Web Store allow us to upload and update our online, multiplayer games instantly. Their immediate and unified environment fits perfectly with Spacetime’s ability to push global content to our suite of games on-the-fly across mobile and desktop.”
