Password management application Dashlane has today received a pretty practical update through the Play Store. In addition to bringing compatibility for five new languages to the service (German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish), the upgrade also bundles a gorgeous design overhaul, together with the standard avalanche of bug fixes and stability improvements, which includes a fix for the temperamental fingerprint authentication feature.
The most evident alteration you’ll notice when opening up Dashlane after installing the update is the new user interface. If you’re a user of either the PC, Mac or iOS application, you’ll feel right at home as the same interface has now been ported to Android. To comply with the Material Design guidelines, there are hamburger menus, floating action buttons and streamlined icons, too.
There’s also an integrated web browser, which is protected by the latest development of asymmetric encryption. This means that you’ll have the ability to securely change passwords and authenticate Dashlane with third-party services without having to leave the application. You can rest assured that all of your data is safe, since the platform’s internet service is running military-grade ciphers.
To install the update on your smartphone or tablet, simply open up the Play Store, toggle the hamburger menu by swiping in from the left-hand side of the screen, select ‘My Apps’ and click on Dashlane, then tap the update button. Alternatively, you can hit the link below to initiate the download on your handset from the Web.
