Design Hunt, the popular iOS application for folks with an interest in product design, has received a nice update making the free, universal app better than ever. As such, there's never been a better time to take Design Hunt for a spin on your iPhone or iPad.
You can pick up the latest version of Design Hunt (2.1) free of charge on the App Store using the above link. For those new to the software, this nice little app collects “the best products, apps, and inspiration for all creatives.” If you have an interest in product design of any kind, Design Hunt is an app you should have on your iPhone.
The software works by curating the best content from providers like Designer News, Pinterest, Product Hunt, Dribbble, and more. It then allows users to save designs they like to their own list inside the app, and a bunch of additional features, like a full-screen content viewer, push notifications for new products, and Split Screen multitasking on Apple's newer iPads, further enhance the experience on offer.
Design Hunt's latest update brings a number of improvements to the app. First, there's support for 3D Touch on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus: this provides users with a quicker means of navigating Design Hunt. There's also improved support for the iPad Pro, and big performance improvements under-the-hood. Plus, the app also clearly marks which images are GIFs, and a Web version of Design Hunt has launched, too.
Here's a full list of the changes made in version 2.1:
Big performance update under the hood.
Clearly indicates which images are gif
Better support for iPad Pro
3D Touch Gestures for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users
As mentioned, Design Hunt is completely free to download, and it's optimized for the iPhone and iPad. You can pick it up through following the link below; the latest version, 2.1, is available now.
