Disney has released nine new storybook apps for Android, giving children the chance to create their own adventures using the studio’s most beloved characters.
While there are dozens of storybook apps already available for iPhone and iPad, this is the first time that Disney has branched over to Android with the idea – introducing nine apps at a discounted price via Google Play.
While the apps are all grouped together under the Disney Publishing Worldwide arm, each comes with its own activities based around different Disney characters. Mickey’s Wildlife Count Along, for instance, helps children to learn maths and science, while the Winnie the Pooh Puzzle book is filled with jigsaws and activities.
As self-confessed Toy Story nerds, we were naturally first drawn to the Toy Story: Story Theatre, allowing kids – ahem, and grown-ups – to create their own stories and record voice-over narration. It turns out this animation malarky is harder than it looks…
