Finally iOS 5.1 Beta 1 released on Apple’s developer site. If you are an iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, or an iPad and iPod touch user, then you’d better go for this one. And the good news for the iOS developers is that they can directly download the iOS 5.1 Beta 1 from Apple’s dev center in the form of IPSW files. Moreover, they can now get another build of the Xcode 4.3 to develop almost anything for iOS 5.1.As we said earlier, this software runs on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 5.1. The applications can be tested with the help of the iOS simulator in it, sporting two Xcode iOS SDK 5.1 images, one to install on your Mac using Mac OS X 10.6.7(Snow Leopard) and the other on your Mac using Mac OS X 10.7(Lion).
We already know iOS 5 ever since its release has had a lot of issues including poor battery performance and Wi-Fi problems. The iOS 5.1 Beta 1 has come after the iOS 5.0.1 failed to resolve the battery bug issue. Now the question that arises is whether this new software will finally be the one to fix the flaws or not? And the answer is that it isn’t definite whether it will be a successful one at that.
We have just been informed that the 5.1 beta 1 is available for certain devices, and that it must be installed using iTunes 10.5. And it is also known that once you’ve upgraded it, you can’t downgrade and that’s a warning for the jailbreakers.
Another thing that’s questionable is – Why did Apple instead of releasing iOS 5.0.2 preferred to release 5.1 right now? Well, Apple is known to use tenth-place software like 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and so on whenever it introduces new features. So we can hope to see some new features in the iOS 5 it seems.
