The Moto X event is just days away, with the final leaks of the device surfacing today, the Moto X is looking pretty good — and now we’ve got some more news to share with you regarding the device. Remember that fancy camera app that leaked a few weeks back? Well, its now available for download!
Now I have to point out that not everything is enabled and not everything works. The app is not yet functional enough to use as a daily driver, but it is good to look around and get a feel for it. I have tested this on my Nexus 4 running 4.3 and it worked okay for me, and Tony had identical results on his Galaxy S III running Android 4.1.2.
Here are the features that do and don’t work.
The camera runs fine.
Front-facing camera toggle.
Swipe to open settings.
Swipe to open gallery, which asks which gallery app you want to launch.
Touch to focus toggle.
Flash mode toggle.
Shutter sound toggle.
What Doesn’t Work
Double-flick wrist gesture to launch the camera anytime.
Panorama mode currently crashes.
HDR mode is disabled and cannot be enabled.
Slow-motion mode is disabled and cannot be enabled.
