The Motorola Droid Bionic looks like it will be the next Android smartphone to get an update from Verizon. The update, which will arrive as version 5.9.905.XT875 has been detailed on the Verizon support pages and looks like it is just about ready to begin rolling out.
The update will measure in as a 42.5MB file and according to Verizon, need about 10 to 15 minutes to download and then another 5 to 10 minutes to install. Those with a Bionic in hand can either sit back and wait for the update notification to arrive or navigate to Menu -> Settings -> About phone – System updates to check manually.
Regardless of the path you choose to get the update, here is how the changelog reads;
Recalibrated volume of the call connect and disconnect tones to be more comfortable for Bluetooth users.
Improved Visual Voice Mail to ensure delivery of a notification to the Status bar.
Reduced data stalls to improve 4G LTE data connectivity.
